Dave Thomas

Chief Executive Officer

Dave Thomas joined Kemmons Wilson Insurance Group in 2016 as Chief Executive Officer. He has spent 40 years in the insurance industry in a variety of disciplines: General Management, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Information Technology. Dave has a strong track record of building start-up and emerging insurance organizations into successful market leaders. He has developed strong relationships with many national and regional insurance carriers throughout his career, and those relationships will serve the best interests of KWIG’s current and future clients. Before joining KWIG, Dave was the CEO of Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation.

Dave holds a degree in Computer Science from the Honeywell Institute of Information Science and Purdue University. He is an avid sportsman, and enjoys music and reading.

Dave is a native of Indiana, and has spent most of his life in the Midwest. He and his wife, Susan, moved to Memphis from suburban New Orleans, and are the proud parents of five children and are blessed with eight grandchildren.


Steve Botts

As founder and CEO of HFG, Steve has been a leader in the insurance and employee benefits industries. Since 1983, he has assisted professional individuals, business owners and employers in a wide array of industries with innovative and cost-effective insurance plans.

Devoting his career to this industry, Steve has achieved notable recognition for his active membership as a Life and Qualifying member of The Million Dollar Round Table and Top of The Table. Additionally, he has won numerous industry awards including the National Quality Award and Leading Producer Round Table.

Previously, Steve served as Chairman of the President’s Advisory Council of The Paul Revere Insurance Company and as a member of the Agent Advisory Council of the UNUM-Provident Companies.

In addition to his business contributions, Steve has been actively involved in the healthcare field as a hospital system Board Member and as a Trustee Council member for the Tennessee Hospital Association. His civic activities include serving 24 years as an elected Sumner County Commissioner, 12 years as Chairman of the County Commission, and as a Board member of the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce, Sumner Foundation, Volunteer State Community College Foundation, COMPASS and Forward Sumner. He was a founding Board member and is currently the President and Chairman of the Board of Salvus Center.

Steve enjoys sharing his expertise as a key speaker at various industry seminars and conventions as well as civic and charitable engagements including Rotary International, Kiwanis, Civitan and Sertoma.

Steve holds a B.A. in Communications from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, and is a Registered Financial Consultant.


Cindy Klatt

Vice President
Strategic Client Relationships

Cindy Klatt joined Kemmons Wilson Insurance Group in 1999 as an account executive. Cindy is now Senior Director- Strategic Accounts and specializes in the hospitality and resort industries. Cindy’s insurance career spans 32 years with experience in Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Large Commercial, Claims Management, Marketing, Loss Sensitive Workers’ Compensation, and Finance.

Cindy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia, AR. Her dedication to the insurance industry is evidenced by conferment of CISR, Certified Insurance Service Representative, CIC, Certified Insurance Counselor, CRM, Certified Risk Manager and CWCA, Certified Work Comp Advisor designations.

She is a passionate follower of college football and loves boating and gardening. Friday nights in the Fall bring high school football and Cindy is in the stands supporting her husband/coach, Larry, and the football team.

Cindy is a native of Cabot, Arkansas and has spent most of her life in the Memphis/Mid-South area. Cindy and her husband are the proud parents of 5 children and 6 beautiful grandchildren.


Eric Collison

Vice President
Commercial Client Relationships

Eric Collison joined Kemmons Wilson Insurance Group in July 2015 as the Insurance Sales Manager. Eric comes to KWIG from GCM Insurance and previously spent 8 years at Liberty Mutual throughout the southeast in commercial sales and personal lines sales management. His duties will include development and mentoring of the current and new sales force, marketing campaigns and initiatives, developing and fostering carrier relationships, and identifying new profitable areas for growth within the agency.

Eric is a graduate of Mississippi State University and earned his Certified Insurance Counselor designation (CIC) in 2008. He enjoys golfing, hunting, and attending sporting events.

Eric grew up in Starkville, Mississippi. After living in several cities throughout the southeast he recently moved back to the Memphis area with his wife Rivers and their three daughters.


Sandra L. Hannon

Vice President
Agency Operations

Sandra L. Hannon joined Kemmons Wilson as Director of Agency Operations in August 2016. She has over 35 years of insurance industry experience in all facets of commercial insurance. Most recently she switched roles to become an implementation lead for Arthur J. Gallagher Inc. during the transition of the numerous agency management software programs throughout the branches to one unified system. She is an avid advocate for change management and insurance technology. Assisting the Gallagher team in embracing that transition in a positive manner is what drove her success in that role, and will definitely be a plus in her role at KWIG.

Sandra grew up in Arthur, Illinois a small farming community in the central part of the state. After graduating from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Science degree, she relocated to the Chicago area where she started her insurance adventure with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Sandra continues to enhance her insurance knowledge throughout the year, and has been a Certified Insurance Counselor since 1998.

In 2015, Sandra moved to the Clarksville, Tennessee to be closer to her daughter’s family while her son-in-law was stationed at Fort Campbell. She also has a grown son who is enjoying his career in Chicago.

Sandra enjoys time spoiling her granddaughter, her dog Oakley, and working on checking items off of her Bucket List.
